<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid overheating of a filter in an exhaust emission control device at the time of reactivation by mechanically opening and closing an escape valve for releasing exhaust gas according to operation conditions of an engine. SOLUTION: An escape valve 6 is attached to an exhaust flow passaged on an upstream side of a filter 13 of an internal combustion engine for releasing a part of the exhaust gas to the atmosphere, in order to preventing excessive capturing the exhaust particulates by means of the filter 13. A release timing of the escape valve 6 is controlled according to the capturing amount of the exhaust particulates. A lever 42 is rotatably supported to a wall of a vehicular body by means of a support shaft 44. A valve stem 9 of the escape valve 6 is connected to one end of the lever 42 by means of a pin 41. A rod 25 of an actuator 20 receiving the exhaust pressure on the inlet side of the filter 13 is connected to an intermediate portion of the lever 42, on the side of its one end, by means of a pin 43. A rod 35 of an actuator 30 receiving the exhaust pressure on the outlet side of the filter 13 is connected to the other end of the lever 42, by means of a pin 45.</p> |
