<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a car body portion around a hinge from being damaged by absorbing an impact force acting on a hood through simple modification of the hinge. SOLUTION: A hinge 2 for vehicle hood is composed of a body side hinge member 21, a hood side hinge member 22, and a hinge pin 4 inserted in hinge holes 21c and 22c formed in the arms 21b and 22b of two hinge members 21 and 22 so as to couple them together, wherein the arm of at least one of the hinge members, for example the arms 21b of the hinge member 21, is formed from three portions, i.e., a first plane 21d at the forefront where the hinge hole 21c is formed, a second plane 21e on the side with a stationary part 21a located flush with the first plane 21d, and a bent part 21f which is bent with respect to the mentioned plane to connect the first plane 21d with the second plane 21e.</p> |
