PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To expand an image recording region and to record an image with sufficient quality at an extent which does not damage the quality of the obtained whole image in the expanded recording region by a method wherein a raster is formed while a sub-scanning having a low paper feeding accuracy is executed when recording by an interlace method. SOLUTION: After a CPU 41 sets dot forming data at the image recording, the CPU 41 controls ink jet heads 61-66 and forms dots by executing main scanning. In terms of the dot forming data, as a nozzle pitch is equal to four rasters, the data is sequentially extracted from the top of the image data which is firstly inputted for every four rasters in the main scanning direction and is transmitted to a transferring buffer 47. In the forming of the dots, a driving wave is outputted in synchronism with a position of the head in the main scanning direction and dots are formed at a region upper than a predetermined raster number for every four rasters in the main scanning. After that, a paper feeding motor 23 is controlled to execute the sub-scanning, then the raster is similarly formed intermittently, thereby recording the image. |
