PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel member for a steel house, excellent in resistance to corrosion caused by chlorides and sulfur dioxide gas. SOLUTION: A galvanized steel plate is excellent in chloride corrosion resistance and sulfide dioxide corrosion resistance in an environment in which the amount of sea salts clinging thereto is not more than 7.0×10<-4> g/m<2> and the amount of sulfates clinging thereto is not more than 5.0×10<-1> g/m<2> . For the galvanized steel plate, a hot dip zincing steel plate with a chromated process coat formed thereon as an upper layer is suitable.
