PURPOSE:To obtain the recording material which has a high sensitivity and flexibility by forming a reflecting layer as a metallic silver gloss layer formed by reaction of a silver compd. in the presence of silver or the metallic developing nuclei nobler than the silver. CONSTITUTION:This recording material consists of the multiple layers having the reflecting layer and the reflecting layer is the metallic silver gloss layer formed by the reaction of the silver compd. in the presence of the silver or the metallic developing nuclei nobler than the silver. This reflective metallic silver gloss layer is constituted by forming the metallic developing nuclei on the layer which is previously applied thereon and contains the silver compd., reducing agent, binder, etc., and further heating the layer for several seconds to several minutes under a suitable heating condition, for example, at least at >=70 deg.C. The reflective metallic silver gloss layer is then formed on the surface layer. An org. silver salt and silver carboxylate-contg. high polymer are used as the silver compd. The flexible recording material which has the high sensitivity and is usable even under severe conditions, such as bending, is obtd. in this way. |
