PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a user's operation to a minimum limit by omitting a waste of expendable supplies by continuously printing even after detecting no expendable supplies, and suppressing a printing fault occurring in the case of completely eliminating the supplies to a minimum limit. SOLUTION: The record control unit (controller 6) for continuing a recording operation of a recording means according to an external designation even after sensing a necessity of supplementing or replacing expendable supplies 2 to be consumed by the operation of the recording means comprises a sensing means for stepwisely sensing consumption of the supplies 2 after sensing the necessity of supplementing or replacing the supplies 2, and a record control means for stopping the operation of the recording means based on an output from the sending means.
