PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic control device capable of realizing a limp home function of compensating for it when detecting abnormality of microcomputer control by monitoring the abnormality between plural microcomputers. SOLUTION: An ECU 2 has an engine control microcomputer 4 and a throttle control microcomputer 6. The engine control microcomputer 4 monitors the abnormality by a second WDT 8 by outputting a WDC pulse WDC2 to the second WDT 8. A monitoring program 14 for monitoring abnormality of the throttle control microcomputer 6 is arranged in the engine control microcomputer 4. The monitoring program 14 is an interrupt program practiced by a periodic interrupt independently of a base program for controlling various engines. A first WDT 16 for checking abnormality of the monitoring control 14 is connected to this monitoring program 14 to detect abnormality of the monitoring program 14 by outputting WDC1 to the first EDT 16 from the monitoring program 14.
