PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pharmaceutical composition that contains an extract from Mitra villosus, extracted with an organic solvent and is useful for treatment of infective dermatomycosis. SOLUTION: The objective pharmaceutical composition is prepared by using an extract from Mitra villosus, preferably an extract from the leaves of a plant, Mitra villosus with an organic solvent, for example, hexane, methanol or their mixture. This composition is preferably prepared as an ointment. In a preferred embodiment, the plant, Mitra villosus, is dried under the environment that the ambient air is not closed, the dried product is crushed into a powder, for example, by using a wood mortar and a wood pestle or with a hammer mill. The resultant powder is preferably subjected to extraction with an organic solvent. |
