ELECTROCONDUCTIVE POLYMER GEL AND MANUFACTURING METHOD AND USE THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electroconductive polymer gel and a bioelectrode using the same. SOLUTION: An electrolytic salt having at least water and a humectant as main components is evenly contained in a cross-linked polymer polymerized of an N-vinyl carboxylic acid amide as given by the formula; CH2 =CHNR<1> COR<2> [wherein R<1> and R<2> represent Cn H2n+1 with n=0-6]. This electroconductive polymer gel proves an electrically high performance when used as bielectrode while exhibiting excellent resistance to sweat. Therefore, even under a prolonged measurement of electrocardiograph or the like, there is neither drop in adhesiveness due to sweating nor peeling from the body surface thereby enabling continuation of measurement precise. A lower impedance allows accurate measurement of even weak electrical signals.
