PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the quality of products as ALC materials by adopting flaky aluminium powder having a specific particle diameter and a specific sieve residue to control its reaction with mortar slurry and to improve its water dispersibility and storage stability, and by adjusting foaming efficiency. SOLUTION: The purpose of this invention is achieved by adopting aluminium powder with an average particle diameter of 15-35μm and the 74μm sieve residue of <=2 wt.%. The grinding of aluminium is conducted by an ordinary milling system (wet milling or dry milling) such as a ball mill or a medium agitating mill, and a dry milling with a ball mill in a nitrogen atmoshere or a wet milling with a ball mill in a hydrocarbon-based solvent is esp. preferable. It is preferable that throughput in 45μm sieve is 80 wt.% or more and its specific surface area is 4-10 m<2> /g, and that a higher fatty acid, a fatty acid alkanolamide and a nonionic surfactant are added to this alminium powder in respective preferred quantities.
