<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid golf ball safe for human bodies and environments having excellent flying performance without deteriorating hitting feel. SOLUTION: In a solid golf ball comprising a single-layer or multi-layer core composed of valcanized rubber composition containing base rubber, metal salts ofα,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid, and organic peroxides, and a single- layer or multi-layer cover formed on the core, the rubber composition contains diphenyl monosulfide represented by the formula, and as monosulfide, bis (pentafluorophenyl)sulfide is preferable. In the formula, X1 -X5 and X1 '-X5 ' are the same or different halogen atoms or hydrogen atoms, except for the case that all the hydrogen atoms.</p> |
