<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent liquid from flowing or leaking from an opening by providing the opening with a height which does not exceed a specified number of times a lateral length of a bag on an upper face of a base of the bag in parallel to a longitudinal direction. SOLUTION: Sealing of an end in a longitudinal direction 12 in a small width for improving stability of a base improves self standing ability of an opening. A size of the base is not specifically limited as long as it accords with a thickness of a film, wherein a ratio of a longitudinal length to a lateral length should not exceed 4. If the ratio of the longitudinal length to the lateral length of the bag base exceeds 4, the base may twist after a bag is filled with contents, thereby losing upward stability of the opening. The opening 2 is in parallel to the longitudinal direction and has a height (h) not exceeding 0.4 times the lateral length of the bag base, preferably 0.3 times. Typically the minimum height (h) of the opening 2 is approximately 20 mm, wherein a height required for attaching a zipper, removing contents or heat-sealing is necessary.</p> |
