<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lower running cost by mixing a part of an untreated flue gas to oxidizing air in an apparatus comprising an absorption tower for absorbing and removing SO2 in a flue gas and suppressing the formation of oxidizable substances by blowing oxidizing air to an absorption solution brought into contact with a flue gas. SOLUTION: In a flue gas desulfurization apparatus, a flue gas sent to an absorption tower 3 is brought into contact with an absorption solution 1 to remove SO2 and then the resultant flue gas is discharged to the outside. The absorption solution 1 which absorbs SO2 is dripped to a liquid storage part 1a and oxidized by oxidizing air supplied to the liquid storage part 1a by the operation of an oxidizing air blower 5. In this case, a flue gas mixing line 6 is branched at a middle of an inlet side duct 3a connected with an inlet of the absorption tower 3 and connected with the suction side of the oxidizing air blower 5. In the middle of the flue gas mixing line 6, a flow rate adjusting damper 7 is installed and the opening of the damper 7 is controlled, so that a prescribed amount of a flue gas is enabled to be mixed with oxidizing air to suppress excessive oxidation reaction of the absorption solution 1 in the liquid storage part 1a.</p> |
