PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute driving force control for a vehicle by estimating a plurality of running environments, and letting corresponding to a plurality of the estimated running environments be properly coordinated therewith. SOLUTION: In a driving force control device for a vehicle, which controls the throttle opening of an engine in response to accelerator operations on the part of an operator, this device is equipped with an acceleration running intention estimating block 35 estimating the acceleration running intention of the operator, a follow-up running intention estimating block 38 estimating the follow-up running intention of the operator, an acceleration running mode judgement block 44 in which when either one of estimated acceleration running intention and follow-up running intention is greater than a specified value, running intention greater than the specified value is thereby selected, and when both of two running intentions are greater than the specified value, either one of running intentions is thereby selected based on acceleration and relative speed, and with a throttle opening target value computation block 167 computing a throttle opening target value by making use of running intention. |
