METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SHAPE OF ROLLED STOCK AND DEVICE THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the bend of a rolled stock by effectively correcting assynmetry of the center line in the width direction of the rolled stock. SOLUTION: By detecting the shape distibution in the width direction of the rolled stock using a shape detector 30, calculating the total sum of the components of the bending moment around the center axis in the width direction of the rolled stock from the output value of the detected shape distribution and executing leveling control for controlling the gap difference between the right and left of rolling rolls 11 so that the calculated bending moment becomes zero, the bend of the rolled stock is prevented and, in its turn, the telescoping of a coiled coil 17 is prevented.
