The method for producing a water in oil emulsified foundation is characterized by (a) mixing an oily component composed of 53-90 wt.% cyclomethicone, 5-35 wt.% fluid paraffin and 5-12 wt.% polyglycerin-4-olate with an aqueous component of water, sorbitol, magnesium sulfate, antiseptic and additive, and an iron oxide pigment, and (b) dispersing and emulsifying the mixture at 17-37 deg.C. The water/oil foundation has an excellent durability and skin-stability.
