The invention relates to a torsion bar door stop for motor vehicle doors comprised of a catching device (8) which can act upon a door assembly part, a door or a door pillar, and of a torsion bar spring (4) which can act upon the other door assembly part. Said torsion bar spring (4) primarily constructed of a torsion spring bar is held on the door assembly part by a shaft part (14) which is connected to a load arm (17) such that it is prevented from turning. In addition, the torsion bar spring is supported against the door assembly part by a support arm (16) which is connected to said door assembly part. The catching device (8) assigned to the load arm (17) of the torsion spring bar is formed by at least two catching rollers (18) which are rotationally mounted on each bearing journal. In order to prevent the door stop from becoming noisy as a result of possible aspects of wear in the vicinity of the catching device (8), the invention provides that at least the catching rollers (18) are surface hardened in a middle area (19) which extends over a part of the height of said rollers. |
