The invention relates to a method for producing sliding surfaces (2) and/or shearing edges (25) on a base material (3). Said surfaces and/or shearing edges are made of a hard material (4) which reduces wear. The base material (3) is provided with a relatively thick coating (1) by means of a thermal spraying method, and afterwards, the coating (1) is ground to obtain the sliding surface (2) and/or the shearing edge (25). The invention also relates to a coating (1) made of a hard material (4) which reduces wear and which is provided as a sliding surface (2) or as a shearing edge (25) on a base material (3). Said base material (3) is provided with a relatively thick and porous coating (1), and the coating (1) is ground. |
