The invention concerns a seal construction for a suction box (11) in a suction roll (10). The suction roll comprises a suction box (11) and therein axial seals (12a1, 12a2), which have been fitted in grooves (U1, U2) in a holder part (14). The holder part (14) has been fitted to be non-stationary in relation to the suction box (11) and has been fitted to be displaceable in an opening (O) at the top of the suction box (11), in which connection the deflection of the holder part (14) is not changed to a substantialy extent when the vacuum varies in the interior of the suction box (11). |
