The card is submitted to a connecting unit (1) from which it is passed to a code reader (2) which evaluates the code. The code consists e.g. of an electrical and electronically stored figure and/or letter sequence and is then sent to a comparator (3). Where there is agreement between the code produced by reading the card and an earlier stored unique code for the code coupler a signal is produced to the memory (6) which permits storage of the significant code for the card. Such agreement causes the prodn. of an electrical signal in a circuit (9) the duration of which is determined by a time circuit (8) used for deactivating stop circuits which prevent access by the card holder to a machine, computer or room, this entitling them to proceed. |
