PURPOSE:To produce the phase difference plate which allows liquid crystal display of a wide visual field angle by prevent the coloration when the liquid crystal display is viewed from diagonal. CONSTITUTION:The phase difference plate is produced from a stage for transversely uniaxially stretching a thermoplastic resin film with a tenter stretching machine and a stage for relaxing the film in a vertical (longitudinal) direction and maintaining the relaxed state and the transversely stretched state by needle- like materials, then heating the thermoplastic resin film at its glass transition point (Tg) or above. |
