The procedure turns the hub of the rear wheel of the bicycle about its axis. It uses a converting assembly that transforms the reciprocating motion of the cranks, to which the pedals are attached, into a continuous rotation of the rear wheel about its axis. The rear wheel rotates in a predetermined direction. The procedure uses mechanical assemblies each of which consists of a freewheel, a crank and a pedal.
