Motor vehicle instrument panel comprises a housing (10) with a rotary drive motor (22) that has a pointer (23) on its out put shaft, a dial (42) and a protective glass cover. The dial is applied, e.g. by silk screen printing, to the rear surface of the glass cover, that is illuminated by an associated light source (24, 28), while the pointer rotates between the glass and a panel (30) with a series of luminous signs or symbols, e.g. in the form of LCD of VFD elements. Preferably the panel (30) is made from a transparent or translucent plastic material with silk screen printed symbols, and with its front face having a black background. |
