PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guiding device for the universal mill, by which the guiding function of a material to be rolled does not deteriorate all the time, including especially a second half pass. SOLUTION: The guiding device is equipped with web guide elevating/ lowering pedestal 21a and 21b installed on the inlet and the outlet of the universal mill 12 rolling a wide flange shape and elevating and lowering according to the roll opening degree of the horizontal rolls 12a and 12b of the universal mill 12, and guide shoes 22a and 22b connected to the web guide elevating/ lowering seating 21a and 21b through link mechanisms 23a and 23b and guiding the web of the wide flange shape while coming into contact with the outer peripheral surface of the horizontal rolls 12a and 12b to the universal mill 12. The guide shoes 22a and 22b is freely movable in parallel in the rolling direction to the web guide elevating/lowering seating 21a and 21b. |
