Closing device for casement doors and windows

The closing device has an endless flexible gear belt (1) mounted round the circumference of the casement frame and tensioned for locking by a tensioner (2) locally fixed on the casement frame (8). The gear belt is guided round between two guide elements (4,5) around a wheel (5) preferably driven by a handle. The wheel and gearbelt have inter-engaging teeth.
