NITROGEN-CONTAINING HETEROCYCLIC COMPOUNDS HAVING ANTIPLATELET AGGREGATION EFFECT AND MEDICINAL USE THEREOF

Compounds represented by general formula (I), their pharmacologically acceptable salts, and solvates of the same. These compounds are hydrolyzed in vivo to give compounds of formula (I) wherein W is hydrogen and R in -V-(CH2)p-COOR represented by D is hydrogen. The resultant compounds prevent GPIIb/IIIa, which is a platelet membrane protein, from binding to fibrinogen to thereby inhibit platelet aggregation. In said formula A represents CH2 or CO; B represents -(CH2)k- or -(CH2)m-CO-; X and Y are different from each other and each represents N or CH; W represents a group which can be eliminated under physiological conditions; and Z is represented by general formula (II) or (III) wherein D represents -V-(CH2)p-COOR.
