SPROCKET POSITIONING STRUCTURE OF POWER TAKE OFF DEVICE FOR COMPACT VEHICLE

PURPOSE:To stabilize positioning of a sprocket in a sprocket positioning structure in a power take off device of a chain driven motorcycle or the like by disposing an oil seal member on the outside of a bearing part of a transmission case side wall, forming a small diameter stage between a sprocket attaching part of an output shaft and oil seal member and disposing a collar for positioning the sprocket. CONSTITUTION:An oil seal member 91 is forced into a small diameter part in the left side of a countershaft bearing hole 88 formed in the left side wall of a transmission case 19 to be mounted fixedly thereon by a snap ring 92. The left end of a countershaft 72 sealed by the oil seal member 91 and projecting therefrom provides a small diameter part 93 to which a rear wheel driving sprocket 96 is mounted through spline fitting. Then, a stage part 94 is formed in the border between the sprocket 96 and the outer peripheral part of the right end of the small diameter part 93 making direct contact with the oil seal member 91 so that a positioning collar member 95 for the sprocket 96 is interposed to fixedly position the sprocket 96.
