The computer has a processor contained within an apparatus housing, or mounted in an opening provided by a mounting plate, via a fixing frame (2). This is fitted with a front unit (1) incorporating operating and/or display elements (4,5,6) and a rear system unit (3) for the further components of the electronic processor. The fixing frame may have side fixing lugs (9,10) with openings (8) for securing the electronic processor to carrier rails within the apparatus housing.
