Combined metal-plastics pipe system incorporating corrosion protection

A pipe (50) is fabricated in a combination of metal and plastic materials and has a connector (10) which is compatible with this combination. The connector (10) has an electrically conducting interface (22) which receives the pipe (50) rim (53). The contact (20) between pipe and connector is so fabricated that only one plastics zone (52) of the pipe rim (53) can make contact with the interface (22).
