Agglomerating ores - with harmful oxide gases converted into less harmful gases prior to release into atmosphere

During the agglomeration of ores when ore and coke is fired as air is passed through, the gas fumes resulting from the process are enriched with oxygen and reblown through the bed of ore and coke under a pressure greater than atmospheric pressure. The pressure above the atmospheric pressure is less than 10 bar, pref. less than 3 bar. The material being agglomerated is pref. covered by a device which seals the contents from the atmosphere and has insulation properties.
