Crops are dried by transporting them through infrared radiation emitted by at least one infrared source (11, 12). A machine (2) for drying wet crops, e.g. potatoes (8), comprises a conveyor (6) for transporting the crops through radiation emitted by at least one infrared source. An Independent claim is also included for a method of drying wet crops using infrared light.
