PURPOSE:To enhance the flexual strength and compressive breaking strength of laminated prepreg sheets by a method wherein a series of reinforcing prepreg sheets are laminated on a main prepreg sheet in such a manner that the fibers of individual reinforcing prepreg sheets intersect the uniaxially oriented fibers of the main prepreg sheet at a specific angle. CONSTITUTION:The laminated prepreg sheets useful for making fishing rod, golf shaft and other cylindrical body are formed by arranging and laminating a plurality of reinforcing prepreg sheets 2-a in a series on a main prepreg sheet 1-a in such a manner that the uniaxially oriented fibers of individual reinforcing prepreg sheets 2-a intersect the uniaxially oriented fibers of the main prepreg sheet 1-a. The sheet 2-a is cut into a plurality of pieces of an appropriate size, which are arranged on the sheet 1-a, then temporarily fastened thereto by an iron and thereafter bonded thereto under a heating roller to obtain finished prepreg sheet. At this time, an angle theta formed between the fibers (1-b and 2-b) of the respective sheets 1-a and 2-a intersecting each other is set within the range of 82 deg.<=theta<=88 deg. to increase the strength. |
