<p>Procedure and system for sending short messages to a mobile subscriber on the basis of the location of the mobile station (MS). In the procedure, the location of the mobile station is monitored on the basis of the information in the visitor location register (VLR) and, when it is detected that the mobile station is moving to a foreign country, a short message containing information about the activities and services of the foreign operator is sent to the mobile station. The invention makes it possible to automate the transmission of information, thus improving the services provided for foreign mobile subscribers.</p> |
