The assembly unit (1) includes a casing, a connection for an incoming isolated conductor (2), a cutting element, and at least one conductor recording (3). The casing consists of a lower casing part (4), in which the cutting element is arranged, and a cover part (5), in which the conductor recording is arranged. The cover part is moved, and preferably fixed, on one hand in a connection preparation position and on the other hand in a final connection position. An Independent claim is provided for a corresponding connection method of a conductor to the assembly unit.
