The invention concerns a device and a method for repairing damage caused by slab (2) rocking on motorways or the like, and the damage caused to road structures such as bridges whereof the flooring is not sufficiently strong. The invention is characterised in that it consists in providing perpendicular to the damaged part rigid rods (9), having for example 5.5 x 5.5 mm in cross-section in the direction of traffic, maintained by transverse braces (8). The transverse braces can be replaced with a nonwoven, so that the product can be rolled up. The whole assembly is placed at the interface of the sand asphalt layer (4) and the asphalt (5) or asphalt mix, in one particular but not exclusive embodiment. In the example selected the invention also prevents the formation of cavities.
