<p>A casting method wherein metal is drawn by means of vacuum suction and poured uniformly into a mold without entraining a gas. The method comprises providing a vertically movable mold chamber box in an upper portion of a box-shaped body, installing a mold in the box, providing a melting chamber, in which are provided an opened upper surface type crucible containing a metal and a heating device for the crucible, in a lower portion of the body, opening a pipe which leads from the mold chamber box to a vacuum suction device provided outside of the body or an on-off valve provided on a tank to produce vacuum in the body, subsequently injecting an inert gas into the body to fill the same, melting the metal by means of the heating device, and lowering the mold chamber box to permit a gate of the mold, which projects downward through a through hole provided on a bottom plate of the mold chamber box, to be inserted into the crucible, and simultaneously opening the pipe or the on-off valve on the tank to instantaneously suck the inert gas in the mold chamber box to draw the metal into the mold for flowing.</p> |
