The drive has a wiper housing (1) and a working piston (3) for driving the wiper arm which can be moved reciprocally between two end positions. The windscreen wiper drive has at least two sensors (30,32) that detect the position of the working piston and transmit a piston position signal to wiper electronics. The sensors are mounted on both sides of a shaft (16) and in the wiper housing.
