The invention concerns a device for storing compact discs comprising slots (20) wherein are positioned boxes each containing a compact disc. The invention is characterised in that it comprises both slots (20) for placing cased compact discs and means (21, 14, 3) defining a least a space (21, 22, 39) with just sufficient height to enable caseless compact discs to be inserted so as to be capable of receiving both cased compact discs and caseless compact discs.
