PURPOSE:To provide the hair-raising agent comprising neuromedin C as an active ingredient and useful for the therapy of baldness and alopecia. CONSTITUTION:The hair-raising agent contains the neuromedin C which is a peptide having the amino acid sequence of the formula and which is known to exhibit various activities to the digestive tracts and central nervous systems of mammalians or its pharmacologically acceptable salt as an active ingredient. The neuromedin C is compounded in an amount of 10<-7> to 10<-3>wt.%, preferably 10<-6> to 10<-4>, based on the total amount of the hair-raising agent. The hair- raising agent is administered by coating or spraying the agent on skin generally in a dose of 0.1-1000mug/cm<2> (skin area), preferably 1-100mug/cm<2>, as the neuromedin for an adult. |
