<p>An orientation mechanism (2), in particular for orienting objects whose surface comprises at least a convex portion and at least a projecting or bulging portion, such as mushrooms, pears, onions, flower bulbs and the like, is provided with an endless conveying member (9) comprising a number of conveying elements which are located adjacent each other and which can be driven so that objects placed on the conveying member (9) are oriented. The conveying elements are formed by rollers (10) arranged transversely to the conveying direction and spaced apart a specific distance one behind the other, which rollers (10) are movable in the conveying direction and are suitable for orienting objects, while further, separate carriers (13) are present suitable for supporting oriented objects.</p> |
