PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picture processor which can obtain a picture without distortion by correcting the distortion of the picture, which occurs by shifting the main scanning direction of a read means and the original transporting direction of an original transportation device from a right angle. SOLUTION: Information on a shift angle being base data used in variable power correction/shift processings is inputted from an operation part 30. A coefficient 1/cosαfor variable power correction in variable power correction and a coefficient tanβor sinαfor obtaining shift quantity in the shift processing are stored/set in the memory of picture processing control CPU 53 based on the input value. Correction based on the correction coefficients is executed in a variable power processing part 51 and a shift processing part 52. Thus the distortion of the picture owing to the shift of an original transporting direction, which occurs by the shift of the installation angle of the original transportation device 20, can be removed. Precision is not required so much in the installation angle of the original transportation device 20 and installation is made to be efficient.
