PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a transferring speed a high speed and to reproduce information by a large reproducing signal output. SOLUTION: A magneto-optical recording medium 50 is provided with magnetic domain magnify-reproduced layers 7, 7' and information recording layers 9 and 9'. At the time of irradiating reproducing light in the spot size so as to include tracks Tr1 and Tr2 , the recording magnetic domains 3 and 3& of the Tr1 and Tr2 existing within the spot size are respectively transferred to the layers 7 and 7'. The magnetic domains 10 and 10' of the magnetic domain magnify-reproduced layers are magnified within a reproducing light spot by applying the external magnetic field of the same polarity as the transferred magnetic domains 10 and 10'. The reproducing signals of sufficient signal intensity is obtained from the magnified domains 10 and 10' and the respective reproducing signals are detected through the use of a bisected-type photodetector. As the recording information Tr1 and Tr2 are simultaneously detected, a reproducing speed is nearly doubled.
