PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recover a homogeneous catalyst having high performance but difficult to be recovered by forming a membrane from an inorg. membrane through which the catalyst, part or all of which is dissolved in a liq., is not passed. SOLUTION: An inorg. membrane used for this catalytic separation membrane may be any inorg. membrane if a catalyst, part or all of which is dissolved in a liq., is not passed through the membrane. An org. membrane cannot be used because it has inferior resistance to org. compd. performance, is swollen with an org. solvent and also has inferior separation performance. Since the purpose is to separate the catalyst used for an org. reaction, the inorg. membrane excellent in org. chemical resistance and without being swollen with an org. solvent must be used. The catalyst separation mechanism may be based on either of a size, an affinity or an other method. Though the mechanism is not clear at this point of time, the separation is preferably carried out by the size. The material of the inorg. membrane is not particularly limited if the catalyst can be separated but a molecular sieve membrane is preferably used.
|
