PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an uncomfortable feeling to be given to a user by absorbing the vibration of a gut generated at the time of hitting a ball and to enhance the handleability by enlarging a sweet spot. SOLUTION: The tennis racket is constituted by vertically and horizontally stretching the gut 5 at the head 2 of a racket frame 1. Gut put-through holes 6 are formed at the frame part 2a and the yoke part 2b of the head 2 and gut protecting members 10A and 10B are mounted to the parts 2a and 2b. The parts 10A and 10B are shaped to be respectively provided with plural cylinder parts 11a to be put through the holes 6 and base parts 11b connecting one tip of these parts 11a, and the whole of the members 10A and 10B are constituted of elastic materials such as elastomer. Concerning a part of the holes 6, the base tip parts of the parts 11a are closely stuck to the inner surfaces of the holes 6 and concerning tip sides compared with these (the side of the inner surface of the head 2), holes on the side of the inner surface are formed larger than the holes on the side of the outer side so as to form clearances between the inner surfaces of the holes 6 and the parts 11a. |
