PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-component cable tie assembly requiring smaller strap head insertion force. SOLUTION: A bundling tie 10 is provided with a strap and a head 20 for receiving the strap. The strap is an elongated member having a first end, a second end and a planar body. The head 20 is provided with an upstanding central wall 50 separating first and second parallel passageways 22, 24. A locking device 30 is supported by the central wall 50. The locking device 30 has a body provided with a pair of parallel side walls 34, 36. The locking device 30 is further provided with a first barb 44 extending into the first passageway 22 and a second barb 46 extending into the second passageway 24. The barbs 44, 46 are provided so as to be a deflectable locking engagement with the first and second strap ends upon insertion into the passageways 22, 24. |
