PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire having improved durability in its bead part by suppressing fatigue failure of a bead core in a cable structure. SOLUTION: A bead core 1, which comprises three or more layers of side wire layers 7A-7D wherein plural metal side wires 6 having a smaller diameter than a core wire 5 are nearly spirally wound around the core wire 5, is embedded in a bead part of a pneumatic tire. Each the side wire 6 in at least one side wire layer 7A of the bead core 1 has a depth of decarburization from its surface of 5μm or less and a diameter of 1.0-3.0 mm.
