SOLUTION: This infection-protecting agent, a medicine, a drink or a food contains an iron-binding lactoferrin as an active ingredient. The iron saturation degree of the iron-binding lactoferrin is desirably 20-100%. The infection- protecting agent, the medicine, the drink or the food can orally be administered to protect the infections of Escherichia coil, Streptococcus mutans, influenza viruses, cytomegaloviruses, etc. The iron-binding lactoferrin is preferably administered at a daily dose of 0.1-5,000 mg per adult. |
