PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable phone which is capable of surely informing a user of existence of a message since a conventional portable phone has a problem of inconvenience in that display of an informing message for indicating the existence of the message is erased by having to perform some key operation, so that the user is apt to forget the existence of the message. SOLUTION: This portable phone is constituted so as to store message information data in a storage part 17, for displaying the informing message on a display part 16 by writing the message informing data in a display memory 15, when the message informing data is received from a control station at on-hook by a control part 12 and, in addition to erase the display of the informing message by erasing the message informing data stored in the storage part 17 and the display memory 15 when no message informing data is received from the control station at the on-hook and the informing message is continuously displayed, until the message is heard and erased by the user. |
