<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for the power down of a computer system during the operation of an operating system(OS). SOLUTION: When a power managing mode is activated and the computer system is not connected with a docking station, namely, with extension equipment, concerning this power down method, a computer system 10 saves a system state and next turns off the power source of an arithmetic processing unit 20 in the computer system so that power down is enabled. When the power managing mode is activated and the computer system is connected to the extension equipment, the computer system is installed in the mode for locking a keyboard and display so that the power down of the computer system is enabled. In the other execution style, by ending the OS and turning off the power source of the computer system, in the inactivation of the power managing mode, power down is performed.</p> |
