PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve black recording having a high density for recording characters and the like and to obtain good printing quality in terms of black and color recording. SOLUTION: There are disclosed inks of a color ink jet recording for recording on a recording paper by ink jet heads 4A-4D that eject inks of plural colors and a black color, respectively. Each of fixing time periods for the color inks is set to be shorter than that for the black ink, i.e., equal to or less than 10 sec.. The recording of the black color is executed solely by the black color and the recording of desired color is executed by superposing the color inks.
